Today is a low point for me. I've had worse days, but this one ranks in the top 10 for sure.

Today, I hate Japan. I hate kids. I hate myself.

No explanation will be given, nor is it really needed. I don't want to relive today. Just tell me I'm pretty and smart and give me a virtual hug and tomorrow I will start fresh.

Cooking class was a blast! It was so much fun that I'm going to do a picture post about it now!

I had a great day yesterday. Busy, but a good kind of busy. I went to five classes and two of those were elementary school. That's a record for me. I barely had time to breathe. You know, I've worked hard to understand as much Japanese as I do today. Although I studied fanatically for two years in college, I don't study anymore in the traditional sense. So I did get out today. I dragged my butt down to the grocery store (my favorite one in town, Marunaka) and talked to Shizuka, one of my students from Sakawa Middle. Year 1, Class 2. This is kind of old news (from June), but it's still interesting. Seeing as I have to deal with miscommunication and the language barrier on a daily basis, I found it to be particularly intriguing.
